With undeniable force of brutality and content controversy, Misanthropist, a band heavily influenced by legendary Death Metal pioneer Nile took shape in early 2005 by guitarist Abdullah Arab, drummer Khaled Al-Khaldi and vocalist Fisal Al-Shamie in an attempt to raise the bar of musical brutality and epic influences within the Saudi underground. Like every other extreme band in the scene, Misanthropist had its share of recruitment difficulties. Abdullah Balloul an extremely talented guitarist joined the band finally completing its sound today. Balloul is now away studying in the UAE, and still plays with the band every once and a while. Five months later vocalist Fisal Al-Shamie was excused out of the band due to lack of spare time. With the addition of Ahmed Al-Mashhadie on bass, today Misanthropist stands as Brutal Death Metal band, assisted during live events by outside members. |
